Different Breed takes place in a roughly contemporary setting in a world just left of ours. It features elements of omegaverse (there are no omega characters, but heat and mpreg are not out of the question), and sci-fi bio-kink (genetic engineering).
It contains dubious consent, institutionalized sex slavery, war flashbacks, and abuse (not between the two main characters). It is a dark world, but not a dark romance.
This first book can be read and enjoyed as a standalone with a HFN ending. However, the story is ongoing and serialized.”
