“Book Descriptions: Years ago, my grandfather started one of the most successful companies in the world. Whenever they talk about him in the press, the name Richard Whitmore is always paired with words like “aggressive,” “ruthless,” and “dominating.”
In my family, they call him a few others words, though.
My grandmother left him before I was born when she caught him “working” after hours with his secretary, and my mom has always hated him for that, too.
That was thirty years ago, but rumor has it that he still assigns his young female employees the same sort of, uh, “extra duties.”
So, yeah. Not everyone likes my grandfather.
But I do.
He’s always been good to me. Beyond good, really. I would do anything for him, including moving across the company to work for him now that I’ve graduated from college… even if I’m not quite sure what exactly he’s hiring me to do.
But if my job description includes any of those “extra duties?”
I mean, of course it won’t. Grandpa doesn’t even know I’m gay, and he definitely isn’t.
But I’m just saying, if the job requires it…
Well, like I said, I’d do anything for him.” DRIVE
