“Book Descriptions: Young children have big feelings. They need to have the language to describe what they’re feeling. This is the focus of Little Bun: A Bilingual Storybook About Feelings.

Little Bun is learning how to express his emotions with words. Little Bun is sharing how he feels so people around him can understand him and support him.

This is a bilingual book for young children (ages 2-6). It is written in English and Simplified Chinese with Pinyin support and online audio reading.

Little Bun: A Bilingual Storybook About Feelings is a story that guides young children to identify their feelings, helps parents/caregivers acknowledge children’s emotions, and supports their developing social-emotional skills.

This book is written by the mother-daughter duo, Amanda Hsiung-Blodgett and Emily Blodgett. It’s also a book of love that marks the milestone of the authors’ family bilingual journey. The feelings and emotions they have experienced over the course of embracing their Taiwan and Chinese heritage language and culture.

The creation of the Little Bun book originated from one of the authors’ favorite foods from their Taiwan Chinese heritage culture - bāo zi, steamed buns with sweet or savory fillings.”
