Prince Harrick stared out at the ruins of the once lush Royal Gardens through the glassteel wall of his office. Even though the immense space had been converted to hydroponics, the vast array of living plants had been beautiful. Only putrefying decay was left now. Death had overtaken every last green growing thing in the garden. Death that would come for his people too if he did not find them a new supply of food. They would have to go to Asim. One way or another, he would get what his people needed to survive.
