    Ray Faraday Nelson is an American science fiction author and cartoonist. He was born in 1931 in Schenectady, New York (USA). His most famous work is arguably the short story Eight O'Clock in the Morning due to the film that was produced based on it, however he has also written many other critically-acclaimed works, such as Blake's Progress (1975) as well as Then Beggars Could Ride (1976).
