The Ghost Girl

Kayleigh was a ghost of a girl when she arrived into foster mother Maggie Hartley's care. Pale, frail and withdrawn, it was clear to Maggie that Kayleigh had seen and experienced things that no ten-year-old should have to, that she's been conditioned to 'see no evil, speak no evil'. Raised by a cruel aunt after her parents abandoned her, Kayleigh was abused, left to starve and wear rags, while her aunt's children lived a life of luxury.
