“Book Descriptions: Most of the parents tell their children to study. When their kids don't meet their expectations, they force them to study harder.

Parents think that the students are purposedly scoring lower marks and intentionally not focusing on their studies. But who willingly likes to fail or score lower marks? Nobody.

All the students, deep down in their hearts, want to do better in their studies. But they don't get the help they need. Their parents think that they are not focusing on their studies. But don't you think, for most of us, focusing itself is a challenge?

Most parents think that their children must be consistent with their studies. But don't you think being consistent itself is a challenging task? How many parents exercise daily, meditate daily, and read daily? Although they know that these are must-have habits. But they still fail, right?

So how can they expect their children to keep up?

What should they do then? They should create an environment that will foster their children’s growth. If their kid is struggling to focus, they should help with that, instead of forcing him to focus.

If the kids are finding difficulties with forming a good habit, then parents must try to help with it.

But all they do is tell their kids to study. And study more. If somebody scores less, he should study more. If somebody fails, he didn’t study.

As a result, a lot of students develop a fear of studies, and they try to find some alternatives to become successful.

So the best thing parents can do is to treat them like humans and help them with their challenges. And tell them why studying is important.

“Why Study?” is a book written by Vikram Suryawanshi to help parents tell their students why education has become such an important part of society. This book is for students who always keep asking why it is utterly necessary to get an education. And why their parents and teachers always keep forcing them to study.”
