“Book Descriptions: It-traduzzjoni ta’ Kit Azzopardi tagħti ħajja ġdida darbtejn lil 'house in limbo.' L-ewwel nett billi tirxoxta ġabra ta’ poeżiji Maltin miktuba bl-Ingliż fit-tmeninijiet – u magħhom poetessa Maltija – li nistgħu ngħidu kienu ntesew. It-tieni nett permezz tal-verżjoni tagħhom bil-Malti. It-traduzzjoni għall-Malti ta’ xogħol bl-Ingliż ta’ awturi Maltin hija inizjattiva innovattiva, interessanti, u fertili. Infatti, f’dan il-każ, it-traduzzjoni xprunat ukoll l-irfinar tal-poeżiji oriġinali u l-pubblikazzjoni ta’ xogħlijiet ġodda li qatt ma dehru qabel.
Kit Azzopardi’s translation revitalizes 'house in limbo' in two ways. First, it revives a collection of Maltese poems written in English in the 1980s, which along with its poet had sunk into oblivion. Second, through its Maltese translation. The translation into Maltese of works written in English by Maltese authors is an innovative, intriguing and fertile enterprise. So much so that in this case, the translation process also led to the fine-tuning of the original poems as well as to the publication of poems that were never published before.
