As a Keeper of the Peace (KOP) for the mystical world of Alius, I know danger comes with the territory. I've also accepted that things hardly ever go according to plan.
So when the Synedrium, our supernatural government, sent my team and me to investigate a slew of kidnappings, it changed my life forever.
That's when I met Nimera, a mermaid princess trapped in a tank, forced to entertain the worst kind of men. During the rescue, I made a mistake. Gunshots were fired, and then there was blood. With Nimera dying in my arms, I did the only thing I could to save her, making her like me; a vampire.
Now the Synedrium has declared her my responsibility, which I knew would happen. I didn't expect the strange, magical connection that formed when I turned her. The stunning mermaid was suddenly in my head, inching her way into my heart.
Throw in that the kidnappings were a part of a plot to destroy the world, and you've got a typical work week for my little supernatural crime-fighting team.
